Build Our World cuts the photograph of a wonder of the world into 1,000,000 bricks: each one about a pixel of the picture. You choose your place on it, sign it for yourself or for someone, and that name shows at that spot, which nobody else can sign.
The first wonder is the Eiffel Tower. A place is chosen by touching the photograph, from €5 for 25 bricks; its card is offered, and its numbered art poster can be ordered if you wish. Each wonder has only one edition: once complete, it is never sold again.
In ten facts
One edition per wonder: 1,000,000 bricks, each about a pixel of its photograph.
Each spot is signed only once; a complete edition is never sold again.
A place is chosen on the photograph, from €5 for 25 bricks; 100 bricks make a 10 × 10 square.
For yourself or to give: a gift is passed on by a link, and the person chooses how their name shows.
The signature is public in the form chosen: name, initials, pseudonym or invisible.
Each place comes with its card, offered; its numbered art poster, with its certificate, is ordered separately and delivered to most countries.
The first 500 places of each wonder are founding signatures, numbered.
The site speaks six languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Japanese.
No targeted advertising, no advertising cookie, no resale of data.
An independent project, with no link to the managers of the monuments shown.
Five questions
Do you buy a piece of the Eiffel Tower?
No. You buy a place on its photograph: a symbolic service, with no right to the monument, the photograph or the work, and no financial value.
Why a million bricks?
It is the size of the edition: a brick is about a pixel of its photograph. A million is large enough for everyone to find a place, and small enough for a place to be seen.
What happens when every brick is signed?
The edition is complete, and it stays so: it is never reset or sold again. The places stay visible as long as the edition is online.
How much does it cost?
A place costs €5 up to 25 bricks, then less and less per brick, down to €0.10 a brick from 2,500 bricks. The price is shown before paying.
Who is behind Build Our World?
A French company, NG WORKS, which runs the Build Our World brand. Its details are in the site's legal notice.
What Build Our World is not
Neither an investment nor a collectible to resell: a place has no financial value.
Neither an NFT nor a cryptocurrency: nothing is written on a blockchain.
Not a right: a place gives none to the monument, its photograph or the collective work.
Not a partner of the monuments: no link with the Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel or the City of Paris.
